 The park is situated on a bluff above the Sea of Cortez. There are 89 terraced RV sites allowing each site a view of the ocean. There are no cabin facilities. The beach can be accessed via three roads from the park. The water is fairly shallow for several yards out, even at high tide.

 

For the 2011/2012 season, the park is open January 1st through March 3, 2012. The park is always closed throughout the summer.


WESTERN HORIZON MEMBERS:

 There is a $7.00 USD Daily Amenity Fee (DAF) charged each day for the first 6 week stay. The DAF covers electricity, water (max 75 liters(20 gallons) per day averaged over the length of stay), gray water disposal system, 1 Honey Wagon visit per week, and internet access when available. Stays beyond the first 6 weeks are available at a DAF of $10.00 USD per day for the duration of the season.


AOR MEMBERS:

There is a $10.00 USD Daily Amenity Fee (DAF) charged each day for the first 3 week stay. The DAF covers electricity, water (max 75 liters(20 gallons) per day averaged over the length of stay), gray water disposal system, 1 Honey Wagon visit per week, and internet access when available. Stays beyond the first 3 weeks are available at a DAF of $13.00 USD per day for the duration of the season.

 

As of September 2010, the Mexican Peso is the only acceptable form of tender that the park may accept.

Site Services

 

Electricity All sites have 30 amp service. You may (highly recommended) want to have a surge protector to guard against fluctuations in the lines. On occasion, the electricity goes out for an hour or so.
 
 
 
Water All sites are plumbed for water. Each site is metered. The water is trucked in from the well in Kino Bay. It has a high mineral content. Purified water is available at the park for $2.00 US per bottle. Water usage in excess of 75 liters per day (averaged over the length of stay) is payable at checkout. 
 
 
Sewer The park has a gray water disposal system. A sewer adapter with a garden hose size hole and a long piece of garden hose are required to use the system. The DAF includes a once a week Honey Wagon visit to pump the black tank.
Park Facilities

 

Club House  The park has a club house overlooking the pool and ocean with a kitchen and outdoor cooking area. It is used for all activities, social gatherings and meals.
 
 
Pool and Hot Tub  The pool and hot tub are situated in front of the club house overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The pool is used for general swimming and exercise classes.
 
 
Bathrooms  There are 3 bathrooms. The 2 main bathrooms (men's and women's) each have a shower, 2 toilets and 2 sinks. Showers are metered and require tokens which can be purchased at the office
 
 
Laundry There are 2 washers (cold water only) and 2 dryers available in the laundry room. Tokens are required to run the machines, and must be purchased at the office.
